Me, The Thief - About stereotypes in the united Europe

We are Poles. It means that we start the day with a glass of Polish vodka. But that‘s not everything of course, because we drink all day long unless we‘re busy with stealing cars. Obviously everyone knows this old truth: "Go to Poland, your car has already been there!" To be honest, I don‘t know why do we steal them all. There is so much snow in Poland that it‘s impossible to drive a car, if you don‘t have a tank. In all those bad things we’re quite similar to ordinary Bulgarians. They just drink and steal cars as well. So if we meet together we probably will start some mafia or just a little gang, at least as we are known as the criminalists from Eastern Europe.

We‘re not sure if Pole‘s life is better than Iberic Peninsula inhabitants have. All of them suffer of "macho complex" and Polish girls can‘t believe, that it‘s possible to have so hairy bodies like they do. In general there is only one difference between Portuguese and Spanish people, first of them rustle while speak their language. They have their truth as well: "You can do tomorrow, what you have to do today." Everything there happens tomorrow, always only "mañana".

We should write something about Austrian people who are (like everyone knows) just Germans living more in the south. We don’t understand this masquerade with different names as these nations so to speak the same. That’s why we expect that Austrians love to plan everything and they have no acceptation for spontaneity.

Our words show that it makes no sense to travel abroad, because we do know already everything about other nations. In the east people drink all the time, only parties in the south, in the north they’re too serious. We believe things like that, but the worst thing is, when you meet foreign people and you feel quite embarrassed. We have met.

We’re taking part in the EU youth exchange with the main subject European identity. During eight days in September people from Bulgaria, Austria, Portugal, Spain and Poland are talking about this topic. We wanted to find something common but not stereotypes created by retarded people. The truth is that alltough we’re Poles, we haven’t stolen any car y e t. The same thing with other nations. We can assure that Germans and Austrians are really different than the sterotypes say and the inhabitants of Iberic Peninsula have complexes similar to the rest of Europe.

Thanks to the meetings like this we have the opportunity to fight with stereotypes. Different people who grew up in different cultures meet together and exchange knowledge. It’s really important for all Europe inhabitans if they want to work together and get rid of the intolerance. And the best way to achieve it, is mutual learning about each other. Ending our comment we have to confess that we’re now going to steal a few cars and will go earlier bed to be able to start drinking at 4 a.m.
